The Original webpage for Cafe Pizza Pizzazz
When first starting this project I had wanted to redesign a local business. At first I had chosen a different restaurant and different layout for the webpage. The original page that I wanted the website to look like was the Union Square Cafe. Once I changed the restaurant to Cafe Pizza Pizzazz I created a new design in mind listed here. Throughout the project I had to make some changes, in my blog I posted most days the struggles that I encountered.
My main goal was to provide a better designed website that was also user friendly. The original website didn’t seem to have much thought put into it. I think that overall that I was able to provide a nice well thought out website. Below are some screenshots of the original website. For the most part I kept the same layout as far as the site map however I put some info on one page such as the menus, I made separate pdf’s for each one and posted them on the correct restaurants site. I’m not sure why they decided to put a photo gallery but I used these photos to post throughout the site which helps customers get a better feel for the atmosphere. Below are screenshots of my final design of Cafe Pizza Pizzazz.
Overall I am proud of what I have created. I walked into this class knowing nothing about web design, photoshop or dreamweaver. After being in this class I have a better understanding of what goes into web design.
My design for Cafe Pizza Pizzazz
Today I changed the Pizza Pizzazz page. I input a slide show displaying a few of the meals they offer.
The pages got scrabbled when I uploaded them but so far today this is what I have done.
-For the Cafe Pizzazz page I am thinking of uploading a slideshow showing recent birthdays celebrated. The “Click here for…” links are clickable pdf files of the menus that I had to retype.
-I think the home page is basically done.
-The about page is almost done the only thing that I want to add are some reviews as well as a icon going to Facebook.
-On the Pizza Pizzazz Page, I still have to finsh the pdf menu files as well as upload some photos, hopefully by tonight this page will be completed.
-Lastly the Contact page, overall I think that this page is completed.
My main goal today was to fix all of the problems I had listed yesterday. Overall I am satisfied with the index page. I am surprised and proud of myself for accomplishing this much. The only issue I still have is with the white part above the nav bar, I tried to look around to fix it but it just ruined the code. My next goal for tomorrow is to fix up the “Pizza Pizzazz” page and “Cafe Pizzazz” page. Meanwhile, while working on the home page I slowly worked on the contact page because it had less content below I will post a picture of the page so far
Only issuer I have with this page is how the container is positioned. It is to close to the top, I’m going to look at the padding to see if that is the problem. But again overall I’m happy.
So far this is the design I have for the index page. Overall I like it however I’d like to make a few changes. I think the container itself is to small, I don’t like how boring the colors look, and I’m thinking of possibly changing the background. I’m also having trouble with the footer, I’m not sure what to put in it. Hoping to find something that makes the overall page more appealing.

Second Trial Home page
Today I tried to make the home page in dreamweaver with the css and html codes. I had trouble getting the images alined how I wanted. At first I was stuck on the lower Nav Bar design but I searched further and found the top nag bar design. For tomorrow I would like to create a background image and aline the images how I want. If I could I’d like to complete the first page however I have a feeling this is easier said then done. Thats all for now, peace \/
